7 New Exoplanets Discovered

This week has been a exciting one in the world of exoplanetary science as four planets and 68 spectra were added to the Atmospheric Spectroscopy Table. In addition, new parameter sets have been released for several other planets, including gam Cep b, HATS-2 b, and TOI-1136 b, c, d, e, f, & g.

Seven new exoplanets have been discovered, including M62H b, a pulsar companion in the Messier 62 globular cluster found by the South African MeerKAT radio telescope. The new dispositions of these planets are now reflected on their respective System Overview pages, which will continue to serve their data.

Among the newly discovered exoplanets are three microlensing planets and one directly imaged planet, all of which have the potential to be giant planets. These discoveries were made possible through the use of advanced telescopes and spectrographic analysis techniques.

The Exoplanet Archive has also updated the status of several previously confirmed exoplanets, including KOI-129 b, KOI-219 b, KOI-631 b, KOI-855 b, KOI-1288 b, and KIC 5951458 b. These planets have been reclassified as False Positive Planets based on updated masses that exceed the archive's stated threshold in our Exoplanet Criteria.

In addition to these new discoveries, the Exoplanet Archive has also released new transmission spectra for 31 planets in the Atmospheric Spectroscopy Table. This data can be accessed from the System Overview pages and the Planetary Systems and Planetary Systems Composite tables.
